Quasi Self-Excited DFIG-Based Wind Energy Conversion System

چکیده

This article introduces a new configuration of the doubly-fed induction generator (DFIG) based wind energy conversion system (WECS) employing only reduced-size rotor side converter (RSC) in tandem with supercapacitor. In proposed structure, grid (GSC) utilized conventional DFIG-based WECSs is successfully eliminated. accomplished by hydraulic transmission (HTS) as continuously variable and shaft decoupling unit. transforms constant-ratio drives providing an opportunity to control power flow through generator's circuit regardless turbine's speed. feature HTS can be RSC ultimately regulate supercapacitor voltage without need for GSC. The investigated simulated MATLAB Simulink at various speeds validate results demonstrate dynamic performance system.
